PBS Works User Group Conference Will Feature Top Minds in Supercomputing Development

TROY, Mich., Aug. 1, 2012 – Engineers will have the opportunity to learn and collaborate with America’s best minds in supercomputing development at the first PBS Works User Group Conference October 2-3, 2012, at the Tech Museum in San Jose, Calif. High-performance computing (HPC) experts from industries including government, life science and manufacturing, will speak at the event, organized by the PBS Works division of Altair, a leading global provider of simulation technology and advanced computing software solutions.

In addition to high-level speakers, the event will feature presentations and panel discussions by Altair technical experts, hands-on workshops and training sessions, and networking opportunities.

The PBS Works User Group Conference is designed specifically for current customers and partners who rely on solutions from PBS Works, the most widely implemented software environment to optimize grid, cloud, cluster and on-demand computing worldwide. Those attending will include executives, IT administrators, business managers, scientists and R&D professionals using PBS Works HPC technologies.

The event will focus on best practices, tips and techniques for using PBS Works’ HPC solutions, as well as trends in cloud computing and in reporting and analysis, along with presentations from Altair hardware partners. Hands-on workshops will offer tips and tricks with PBS plug-ins and application definitions.
