Unparalleled Breadth of CFD Solutions Under a Single License

Altair® CFD™ is a cost-effective alternative to purchasing individual tools from multiple software vendors by delivering all major CFD solutions under a single license including:

This ensures engineering teams always have the most appropriate technology available for each application, reducing modeling and product development times.

Altair CFD provides advanced capabilities including coupling with Altair® EDEM™ to address the simulation of particle-fluid systems and a unique solution to quickly predict aeroacoustic noise from rotating equipment.

Altair CFD is complemented by Altair® Flow Simulator™, an integrated thermo-fluid system design software used to simulate rotating machinery, electric powertrains, wind turbines, and other complex systems.

Join us June 22 for a virtual launch of Altair CFD to learn more about:

  • The different CFD methods available with Altair CFD
  • The range of fluids problems that can be solved with Altair CFD, including some unique applications
  • How Altair’s unique licensing system enables companies to reduce software expenditure

Expanded End-to-end Electronic System Design Capability

Altair’s electronic system design toolset has a new thermal management workflow to enhance the design of electronic devices. In addition to the existing Altair® SimLab™ workflows for structural stress, vibration, and drop-test performance, product engineers can now ensure the cooling of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and complete systems to prevent overheating, product reliability issues, or expensive late-stage redesigns.

Smart connected devices increasingly need high-speed memory. Altair® PollEx™ has added signal integrity automation for double-data rate (DDR) memory interfaces, enhancing optimization of DDRx timing, transmission lines, topology, and terminations. Other improvements include additional power integrity simulation and the capability to export PCB layers for thermal management analysis.

Learn about the latest enhancements to Altair's ESD solutions in our upcoming webinar series. Webinar topics include:

  • How to ensure electronic system reliability
  • Optimizing printed circuit board manufacturing
  • Designing double-data rate (DDRx) memory interfaces
  • Overcoming thermal challenges of electronic devices
  • Solving electromagnetic interference issues without testing

Zero-download Simulation in the Cloud with Altair One™

Altair One is a single portal for Altair’s products, accessible anywhere via standard workstations, PCs, laptops, and mobile devices. Users can launch simulation applications in the cloud from a single interface with easy access to resources that are on-premises, in the cloud, or a hybrid. Product teams can increase simulation-driven design collaboration by securely uploading, accessing, storing, and managing data using the Altair One drive.

Altair One does not require additional capital expenditures on complex IT and can scale immediately in response to peaks in workload. It also empowers users to provision turnkey, scalable appliance clusters across all major cloud providers including Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and Google Cloud Platform.

Flexibility is further enhanced by Altair Units, Altair’s patented, subscription-based licensing model, which allows organizations to pay only for what their employees need, when they need it. This includes the new Product Engineer bundle that automates and simplifies complex analysis tasks for multiple physics.

Altair One users also have access to exclusive, cloud native engineering apps including:

  • Altair® DesignAI™ - Combines physics-based simulation-driven design and machine learning-based AI-driven design to create high-potential designs earlier in development cycles
  • Altair® Material Data Center™ - A multi-domain material properties repository to help create sustainable, efficient, minimum-weight designs

All the tools you need in one place.

Solutions for Every Stage of Product Development

From model-based systems design and early geometry ideation and manufacturability, to detailed multiphysics simulation and optimization, Altair's latest simulation software release includes a large number of updates and enhancements. Here are some other product highlights:

  • Altair® HyperWorks® keeps driving more design with simulation adding new connectors, meshing and geometry editing capabilities, and expanding the AI-driven Design Explorer.
  • Altair® SimLab™ expands its multiphysics workflows with CAD associativity thanks to direct extensions for the Altair® Inspire™ products, enhanced assembly and solution browsers, and a new SPH flow solution.
  • Altair® SimSolid™ provides structural analysis for rapid design iterations with extended capabilities for linear, nonlinear, and fatigue analysis solutions, including orthotropic material support. It also has a direct data integration to Onshape and Teamcenter.
  • Altair® OptiStruct®, Altair's optimization-enabled structural analysis tool. Now offers extensive capabilities for aeroelasticity, adds more linear and nonlinear solutions for heat transfer, and expands on its nonlinear dynamic analysis - implicit and explicit - for composites and isotropic materials.
  • Altair® Squeak and Rattle Director™ was released earlier this year as Altair's solution for perceived quality. It now adds capabilities for easy design comparison in risk assessment and enhanced control of gap and tolerance data.
  • Altair® MotionSolve®, Altair's 3D multi-body system simulation continues expanding its co-simulation capabilities with EDEM and has introduced a new continuous track plug-in for tracked vehicles such as bulldozers, excavators, robots, etc.
  • Altair® Feko® solves even more connectivity, compatibility, and radar challenges adding support for multi-frequency data and a new asymptotic solver for high frequency antenna placement applications. Post-processing for automotive radar signals now supports systems parameter effects.
  • Altair® Flux™ accelerates motors, sensors, and actuators design thanks to a new method to compute current density in child conductor regions in 3D, with relaxed geometry constrains.
