Tom Perring

Chief Administrative Officer

Tom M. Perring is chief administration officer for Altair, with purchasing and legal oversight, as well as responsibilities for computer systems administration and facilities.

Mr. Perring joined Altair in 1993 as an Account Manager, became Director of Finance in 1997, promoted to Chief Financial Officer in January 2001, Chief Operating Officer in 2007 and then to Chief Administrative Officer in 2010. His leadership has helped position Altair as one of the most fiscally sound private corporations in operation today.

Prior to joining Altair, Mr. Perring had fifteen years of experience in managing large scale software development projects at Chrysler Corporation and CIMLINC, Inc. following an academic career as a college physics professor.

Perring holds bachelor and master of science degrees in physics from Oakland University in Rochester, Mich., and a master of business administration degree from the University of Michigan.
